Hall of Famer Dougherty addresses AILA campers on value of indoor lacrosse

Lacrosse players attending the inaugural American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) camp at Bryn Athyn College recently were treated to a special guest appearance by Team USA World Champion and Hall of Fame goalie Brian “Doc” Daugherty.

Dougherty, a World Champion, NCAA champion and national club champion who starred at Episcopal Academy and the University of Maryland, addressed the players on the importance of playing indoor lacrosse and how it will benefit their growth and development as a field player.

On Jan. 10-12, the American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) will host the inaugural IMG Indoor Nationals in Philadelphia. The IMG Indoor Nationals will take place in conjunction with the start of the Philadelphia Wings season and the 2014 U.S. Lacrosse National Convention. Top U15, U17 and U19 teams from around the country will have the opportunity to compete for the first annual championship title.
