Inaugural Shipley Golf Outing draws more than 100 participants

More than 100 golfers participated in the First Annual Shipley Golf Classic Monday at White Manor Country Club.

From Stony Brook and Ward Melville HS on Long Island, Shipley AD and coach Mark Duncan (Lehigh), Dennis Goldstein (UNC final four MVP), Chip Mayer (UNC All American), Pete Higgins (Guilford and Princeton Day School coach), Tim Goldstein (Cornell Final Four MVP), Kevin Crowley (NCAA All American Stony Brook U, midfielder of the year, Philly Wings, Hamilton Nationals and MLL All-Star MVP, 2013 Shipley Asst Coach)

The event helped raise money for Shipley School athletics and its general fund and was heavily supported by the lacrosse community.

The winning foursome was headed by NCAA football and lacrosse official Red Davidson of M Buono Beef Co.
