The NXT 2016 lacrosse team reached the 2016 AA finals of the Legacy Lacrosse Invitational Tuesday in Fort Devens, Mass.

NXT fell to Greene Turtle (Md.), 7-3, in the finals. The highlight was an overtime win over the Baltimore Crabs in the semifinals as middie Ryan Kinnard (Penncrest) had three goals and Peter Gayhardt (Episcopal Academy) added two.

That win came right after NXT dropped a 6-5 overtime decusion to the Crabs – its first loss of the summer after 16 straight wins.

Meanwhile, Phillie Elite also enjoyed a strong showing in the AA 2016 division, reaching the semis where it fell to Greene Turtle, 6-3.

Phillie Elite also sent three players to the 2015 All-Star game: Jack Myers (Wissahickon), Tim Ross (Central Bucks South) and Cameron Leach (Abington).
