From Press Release
The Centenary College Athletic Department announced the hiring of Eastern University Assistant Coach Erica Roebuck (Marple Newtown) as the new Centenary women’s lacrosse Head Coach.
Roebuck takes over the Cyclone program after working as the assistant coach at Eastern where she finished her Master’s Degree in Education and earned a Health and Physical Education certificate in spring of 2013.
Aside from her time coaching at Eastern, Roebuck has three years of experience as the assistant lacrosse coach at Archbishop Carroll High School, three years as the coach at Paxon Hollow Middle School, and was the co-founder of the Marple Newtown Girls’ Lacrosse League as a sophomore in college.
“I am very excited to be coaching at Centenary College,” said Roebuck. “The campus is beautiful and the community around Centenary is a great place to live. I have been given a great opportunity to build this lacrosse program where my athletes will strive for success both on and off the lacrosse field.”
A Certified Level 2 Lacrosse Coach, Roebuck is also a certified teacher and a graduate of Villanova University where she played one year of women’s lacrosse for the Wildcats while completing her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Education in 2011.
Roebuck earned All-Delco and All-Central honors her senior year at Marple Newtown when she tallied 49 goals and 53 assists.
