Pittsburgh senior attackman Tyler Novotny (Spring-Ford) has been named an MCLA Division I Honorable Mention All-American.
Novotny collected 57 goals and 10 assists as the Panthers finished 11-7 and fell to Michigan State in the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association title game.
Novotny finished his brilliant three-year career at Pitt with 160 goals. He began his career at Division I St. John’s.
Also, Novotny was named first team All-Conference, and was joined by teammates Bryan Peck (midfielder), Max Carlson (defenseman) and Pat Kelly (defensive middie).
Making second team All-League were junior face-off specialist Josh Sutterfield (Spring-Ford), who went 163-90 at the X; freshman goalie Travis O’Connor (Abington), who had 94 saves in 10 games; and junior LSM Burke Bodo (Phoenixville), who had 23 groundballs.
