The NJ South U13 All Star Lacrosse Team will be participate in the US Lacrosse Southeast Regional Championship in Raleigh, NC, from Friday through Sunday, June 7-9. The team is poised to showcase the top U-13 players throughout Southern/Central New Jersey on a national stage.
NJ South is a regional team (22 man roster with 3 alternates) that transcends all club/league affiliations to bring the best of South Jersey, Central Jersey and Jersey Shore lacrosse players together on one team. The tryout process and independent evaluations took place over 2 days and included 70 of the region’s top players. All players had to be nominated by their township/club team’s coaches to participate in the tryout.
The U-13 players selected (see Roster below) are an eclectic group representing five New Jersey counties and 15 towns.
The 2013 NJ South team will be coached by two former All-Phillylacrosse.com South Jersey High School Team Players (2012) – Tommy O’Neill (St Augustine Prep/Penn State University Midfielder), and Sean Gray (Seneca HS/Wagner College Defensemen). Both O’Neill and Gray also played on the NJ South U15 All Star Team in 2008, winning the National Tournament hosted in Lake George, NY.
