Girls’ lacrosse; Hatboro-Horsham finishes perfect league season at 12-0 on Senior Night

The host Hatboro-Horsham girls’ lacrosse team defeated North Penn, 10-4, Wednesday to close an undefeated Suburban One Continental Conference season on Senior Night.

The Hatters, who won their second straight crown under coaches Duncan Swezey and Gabby Stitz, finished 12-0 in the league and are 14-2 overall. North Penn is 12-4 overall and went 9-3 in the league.

Seniors honored were Lauren Hill, goalie Jackie Giovanazzo (six saves) and Liz Purtell.

Colby Eldridge led the attack with three goals and Annette Desipio and Casey Swezey each had two goals while Maria Guerra added a goal and two assists. Rachel Rausa had a goal and an assist and Sydney Rausa scored once while Katie McKay had two assists and Carly Daley one assist.

The Hatters’ defense was standout behind the group of Caroline Acker, Jenna Cutilli, Guerra, Jane Henry, Keeley Henry, Hill and Rausa. McKay was a standout on the draw controls.

On another note, thanks to Hatboro-Horsham’s own Cutiili for her excellent singing of the National Anthem.
