Wednesday’s Delaware HS Boys’ Results

Dover 10, Smyrna 9

Three goals by Joshua Clendenial, two each by Jordan Robinson and Ryan McQuaide paced the Senators of Dover to a 10-9 win over the Eagles of Smyrna. For the Eagles, Matthew Marthaler led with three goals followed by two by Andrew Gilbert.

Wilmington Christian 12, Glasgow 2

Five goals by David Robinson, four by Spencer Lockard, and two by Peter Potecha paced the Warriors of Wilmington Christian to a 12-2 win over the Dragons of Glasgow.

Tower Hill 10, Tatnall 4

Four goals by Andrew Pettit, two each by Brett Hinckley and teammate Benjamin Watson paced the Hillers of Tower Hill to a 10-4 win over the Hornets of Tatnall. For the Hornets, two goals each by Ryan Messick and Sean Esmond led the way.

Delmar 5, Caesar Rodney 4

Two goals each by William Adkins and Ernest Leatherberry paced the Wildcats of Delmar to a 5-4 win over the Riders of Caesar Rodney.

Polytech 8, Sussex Tech 5

Three goals by John O Brien and two by Connor Ott paced the Panthers of Polytech to an 8-5 win over the Ravens of Sussex Tech. For the Ravens, Nathan Crum and Jeff Klabe each recorded two goals.

Wednesday’s girls’ games

Sussex Tech 19, Dover 6

Five goals by Kellan Cannon and Dorian Zimmerman, four by Madeleine Ellenberger, and two by Kirston Lockwood and Taylor Kvilhaug paced the Lady Ravens of Sussex Tech to a 19-6 win over the Lady Senators of Dover. For the Lady Senators of Dover, Molly McCommons led with three goals.

Polytech 17, Newark 4

Five goals each by Adelaide Stang and Jamie Trabaudo, and three by Jenna Hayes paced the Lady Panthers of Polytech to a 17-4 win over the Yellowjackets of Newark. For the Lady Jackets, Carolyn Howard led with two goals.

Cape Henlopen 22, Caesar Rodney 5

Four goals by Jordan Brown and Sarah Young, and three each by Anna Frederick, Sarah Tappan and Allie Yeager paced the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen to a 22-5 win over the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney.

Tuesday’s boys;’ games

Middletown 17, William Penn 11

Five goals by Joshua Leach, four by Connor Swalm, three by Joseph Egerton and two each by Adam Brown and Dylan Suarez paced the Cavaliers of Middletown to a 17-11 win over the Colonials of William Penn. For the Colonials, Eric Mabry led with four goals, Ramazan Arslan had three and Nick Foltz added two.

St. Mark’s 16, Charter School 8

Five goals by James Magnani, three each by Joseph Giannaras and Morgan Madonna along with two by Rhett Schweizer paced the St. Mark’s Spartans to a 16-8 win over Charter. For the Charter School of Wilmington, Andrew Kearns led with six goals.

Friends 18, Westtown School 7

Five goals by Sean Kirkpatrick, four by Brett Tracy, three by Ben Hansen, and two each by James Haubert and James Carney paced the Quakers of Friends to a 18-7 win over Westtown School.

Hodgson 14, Pencader Charter 3

Corey Melvin scored seven goals and set a school mark with 59 goals while closing his career with 142 goals and 74 assists to pace the Hodgson Silver Eagles to a 14-3 win over Pencader Charter. James Moxley and Sebastian Thomas each with added two goals for Hodgson.

Delcastle 12, Glasgow 3

Four goals by Justin Harris Williams, three by Justin Boyce and two by Jesse Reeder paced the Cougars of Delcastle to a 12-3 win over the Dragons of Glasgow. For the Dragons, Nicholas Coleman led with three goals.

Concord 14, Newark 9

Four goals by Darian Chan, three by Hasani Wilmer, two each by John Fiorella and Benjamin Lee paced the Raiders of Concord to a 14-9 win over the YellowJackets of Newark. For the Jackets, Joshua Choi led with four goals followed by teammate Nicholas Morjana with two.

Caesar Rodney 10, Cape Henlopen 9, OT

Three goals by Eric Schaefer, and two each by Dave Schmidt, Austin Hayward and Nick Gruwell paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a big 10-9 overtime win over the Vikings of Cape Henlopen. For Cape, Todd Keen led with four goals followed by Michael Hopkins with two.

Salesianum School 15, Archmere 5

Four goals by Jason Kelly, three by Sam Fink, and two each by Troy Reeder and Sean Giampietro paced the nationally-ranked Sals of Salesianum to a 15-5 win over the Auks of Archmere. Dan Ehrlichman led the Auks with three goals.

Appoquimink 13, Alexis I DuPont 5

Four goals by Cody Curran, two each by Eric Mack and Jamie Ravitz and John Dunbar paced the Jaguars of Appoquimink to a 13-5 win over the Tigers of Alexis I DuPont. Chris Daley led with three goals for the Tigers.

Delmar 15, Indian River 6

Five goals by Larry Gilmore, four by Colby Cambron, and two each by William Adkins and Ernest Leatherberry paced the Wildcats of Delmar to a 15-6 win over the Indians of Indian River. For the Indians, Merrick Kovatch led with four goals.

St. Georges 14, Mt. Pleasant 4

Four goals each by Adam King and Matthew Rentuccio, and three by Evan Kobosko paced the Hawks of St. Georges to a 14-4 win over the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant.

Tuesday’s girls’ games

Alexis I DuPont 14, Appoquimink 12

Six goals by Elizabeth Shields, three each by Sarah McGlothlin, and two by Alex Davis paced the Lady Tigers of Alexis I DuPont to a 14-12 win over the Lady Jaguars of Appoquimink. For the Lady Jags, McKenzie Marvel led with five goals, followed by three each by Delaney Chrisco and Morgan Ludlam.

Tower Hill 16, Tatnall 6

Four goals by Jenna Chodos, three by Sophia McCoy, and two each by Meghan Cobb and Emma Lynch paced the Lady Hillers of Tower Hill to a 16-6 win over the Lady Hornets of Tatnall. For the Lady Hornets, Shay Cannon led with four goals.

Ursuline 15, St. Mark’s 10

Five goals by Mary Abram, four by Brooke Schmeusser, three by Madaline Hughes, and two by Emily Blaiskow paced the Lady Raiders of Ursuline to a 15-10 win over the Lady Spartans of St. Mark’s. For the Spartans, Haley Schweitzer led with six goals, followed by two by Madaleine Baker.

St. Andrew’s 19, Friends School 18

Six goals by Helen Cammerzill, three each by Joan Oates and teammate Elizabeth Wainwright, and two each by Margaret and Alyse Saliba paced the Lady Cardinals of St. Andrews to a 19-18 overtime win over the Lady Quakers of Friends School. For the Lady Quakers, five goals each by Margaret Tschantz and Meryl Gatti, along with two each by Lucy Yeatman and teammate Brooke Winfield led the way.

Charter 15, Mt. Pleasant 3

Four goals by Morgan Lamey, three each by Alex Mash and Jordan Woode, and two by Emily Ritter paced the Lady Force of Charter to a 15-3 win over the Lady Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant.
