Girls’ lacrosse: EA clinches 9th straight Inter-Ac crown with win over GA

Kristen Hinckley led a balanced attack with four goals and an assist Lindsey Reder made 16 saves as host Episcopal Academy defeated Germantown Academy, 16-6, Tuesday to clinch at least a tie for its ninth straight Inter-Ac League girls’ lacrosse championship.

EA (9-0 league, 10-3 overall) can clinch the crown outright with a win over host Penn Charter on Friday. EA hosts Central League co-champion Radnor today.

EA took an 8-2 halftime lead and received strong defense from seniors Meghan Hubley, Tori Sarmiento and Briana Narzikul and junior Carli Grims.

Jen Crager added three goals and Schuyler Aitken had two goals and an assist and MC Curran two goals for EA.

Caroline Haynie led GA (11-7, 7-3) with three goals and an assist and Hanna Bogorowski scored twice while Allie Carrigan made 16 saves.
