Boys’ lacrosse: Radnor claims share of first Central League title in 10 years

Mike Cherry had four goals and an assist and Alex Manderack added three goals, while Peter Donato contributed a goal and three assists as visiting Radnor defeated Marple Newtown, 14-2, today and earned a share of its fist Central League championship in 10 years.

The Red Raiders (15-2) finished 10-1 in the league, tied with Conestoga – which downed Penncrest, 11-6.

Chris Albany had a goal and an assist while Jack Wilson, Tom Farnish,
Shane Shapiro, and Drew Ryan each scored once. Tom Hemcher and
Kevin Reilly each posted two assists and Brendan Manderack made two saves to gain the victory in goal.

Once again, the Red Raiders dominated at the face-off X as Jake Shapiro won 11 of 15 draws and Tom Meyers was 4 for 4.
