Thursday’s Delaware HS roundup:

Boys

Smyrna 12, Red Lion Christian 3

Tyler Matthews’ 3 goal performance along with 2 each by Darren Lawson and Andrew Gilbert paced the Eagles of Smyrna to a 12-3 win over the Lions of Red Lion Christian.

Appoquimink 12, Middletown 9

4 goals by John Dunbar, 2 each by Eric Mack, Cody Curren and Michael Frenze paced the Jaguars of Appoquimink to a 12-9 win over the Cavaliers of Middletown. For the Cavs, Joshua Leach led with 3 goals, followed by 2 each by Connor Swalm and Adam Brown.

St. Mark’s 20, Newark 3

3 goals by Morgan Madonna, Derek Jackson and Alex Munro, and 2 each by James Hamory and Nicholas Papa paced the Spartans of St. Mark’s to a 20-3 win over the Yellowjackets of Newark.

Hodgson 11, McKean 2

5 goals by Cory Melvin and 3 by Sebastian Scirrino paced the Hodgson Silver Eagles to an 11-2 win over the Highlanders of McKean. With the win, the Hodgson Silver Eagles win the 2013 Blue Hen Flight B Championship.

Concord 21, Glasgow 0

4 goals by Darien Chan and Hasani Wilmer 3 by Matthew Streck and John Fiorella, 2 by Kevin Louie and Benjamin Lee paced the Raiders of Concord to a 21-0 win over the Dragons of Glasgow.

Brandywine 16, St. Georges 8

5 goals by Jack Campbell, 4 by Thomas Lengel, and 2 each by Joshua Fontana and Nicholas Fecondo paced the Bulldogs of Brandywine to a 16-8 win over the Hawks of St. Georges. For the Hawks, Patrick King and Paul Hun each recorded 3 goals.

A.I. DuPont 17, William Penn 4

5 goals by Joseph Pirrozzi and teammate Christopher Daley paced the Tigers of Alexis I DuPont to a 17-4 win over the Colonials of William Penn. Ramazeon Arslan led Penn with 2 goals.

Girls
Caravel Academy 14, St. Thomas More 11

6 goals by Olivia Duarte, 4 by Abigail Reed paced the Lady Buccaneers of Caravel Academy to a 14-11 win over the Lady Ravens of St. Thomas More. For the Lady Ravens, Katlyn Camisky led with 4 goals, Anna Kelly with 3 and 2 by Jena Wilson.

Cape Henlopen 19, Charter 6

4 goals by Alli Yeager and Jordan Brown, 3 by Anna Frederick, 2 by Sara Young and Karalyn Joseph paced the Lady Vikings of Cape Henlopen to a 19-6 win over the Force of Charter. For the Lady Force, Morgan Lamey and Alex Mash each with 2.

Concord 18, Glasgow 5

4 goals by Heather Estle, 2 goals by Amy Akell, Chelsea White and Madeleine Davis paced the Lady Raiders of Concord to a 18-5 win over the Lady Dragons of Glasgow.

Newark 17, Brandywine 12

6 goals by Shawna Chopko as she scored her 100th career goal of the season along with 4 goals by Kayla Wehry and 2 by Jennifer Kelby and Carolyn Howard paced the Lady Yellowjackets of Newark to a 17-12 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine. For the Lady Bulldogs, Erin Courtney led with 6 goals and Holly George contributed with 5.

Middletown 16, Appoquimink 3

Allison Pantazes’ 5 goal performance along with 4 goals by Kristin Rossi 3 goals by twin sister Emily Pantazes and 2 by Katherine Thompson paced the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown to a 16-3 win over the Lady Jaguars of Appoquimink. Delaney Chrisco led the Lady Jaguars with 2 goals.

Tower Hill 17, St. Andrews 11

4 goals by Meaghan Cobb and Sophia McCoy, 3 by Jenna Chodos paced the Lady Hillers of Tower Hill School to a 17-11 win over the Lady Cardinals of St. Andrews. For the Lady Saints, Jenna Oates led with 3 goals followed by 2 by Helen Cammerzill, Grace Saliba and Sara Coyne.
