Boys’ lacrosse: Kennett tops Downingtown West, snaps 29-game league win streak

Matt Worrall and Brady O’Neill each scored two goals as the Blue Demons (3-1, 8-1) moved into first place in the Ches-Mont standings and ended the Whippets’ 29-game league winning streak in one fell swoop.

The three-time defending champion Whippets last lost a league game on May 3, 2010, to Avon Grove, 5-4.

Kennett (8-1, 3-1) is in first place with Bishop Shanahan atop the league standings, one half game ahead of Downingtown West, Avon Grove, Sun Valley and Henderson.

Mike Peppelman had three goals for the Whippets (5-3).
