Longstreth girls’ recruit: Conestoga junior attack Sweeney commits to Tampa

Conestoga junior attack wing Shannon Sweeney has made a verbal commitment to play Division II lacrosse at the University of Tampa.

Reason for choosing Tampa: “From the moment I visited I knew it was for me. I always knew that I wanted to go somewhere far away so Tampa seemed perfect. The school is absolutely beautiful, yet it is right in the city. I also loved the coach, she is so awesome and energetic!”

Conestoga team outlook: “This 2013 season is going to be amazing. Our team made it to State quarterfinals last year so we are hoping to go even further this year.”
