Boys’ lacrosse: Moorestown tops St. Augustine Prep (with AccessLacrosse replay)

The opening day for New Jersey boys’ lacrosse featured a battle of two teams ranked by Phillylacrosse.com, an a game being streamed live with play-by-play from AccessLacrosse.com.

The visiting Quakers, who entered play ranked No. 13, broke open a 3-3 halftime score by tallying four goals in the third quarter and claimed an 8-5 victory over the No. 14 Hermits.

Wade Dickey scored three goals and Michael Handlin added two goals and an assist for Moorestown. Matt Olbrich scored twice and Robert Kuhn had a goal and two assists while Drew Hillman dished off three assists.

Dan Willis was a standout in goal for the Quakers, posting 12 saves.

St. Augustine got two goals from Aaron Denesevich and one each from Jared Chiachetti, Joseph Eisele and Chase Young. Ernie Alvino gad seven saves.
