This is one of a series of previews for the 2013 Philly lacrosse season

Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights (Kingston, PA)

Coach: Catie Kersey, 11th season, Randy Granger 3rd year as assistant coach

Last Year’s Record: 13-8, District II Champions, made it into state tournament for second year in a row.

Cat Corcoran – low D, 4 year varsity
Emily Granger – attack, 4 year varsity
Kristen Mericle – midfield/center, 4 year varsity

“We are excited about the 2013 season, particularly because of our strong senior year class. We look to defend our District title and improve on our record in the state tournament. We have a challenging schedule which should prepare us well for post-season play.”

“It will take some time to bring the team together and have the girl’s learn each others strengths and weaknesses on the field but it will only be a matter of time before they shine. Overall, we have a great group of girls and it will truly be a team effort to win games and play to our full potential. Our expectations for this year are high as always. The girls are excited to play and are looking forward to a successful season ahead. Our goal is to play every match like it is our last and bring home a District title.”
