Colin Keegan (Springfield-Delco) scored three goals, Connor Mullen (Downingtown West) collected two goals and two assists and Mark DiFrangia (La Salle) had three groundballs to lead St. John’s to a 20-13 scorefest over visiting Rutgers Saturday in Big East men’s lacrosse.

The Red Storm is 3-2 and 1-0 in the league.

Rich Rambo (Abington) scored once for Rutgers and nick Masciantonio (Southern Lehigh) added two GBs.

Notre Dame 13, Denver 12, OT

Liam O’Connor (Haverford School) scored once and won 17 of 28 face-offs to lead the Irish to the thrilling win at The Mile High Classic. Tyler Andersen (Radnor) had two CTs and a GB and Stephen O’Hara (St. Joseph’s Prep) added a GB to lead the Notre Dame defense.

Loyola 13, Air Force 7

Nikko Pontrello (St. Augustine Prep) had four goals and two assists and Steve Layne (Malvern Prep) had an assist for the winning Greyhounds (5-2) at the Mile High Classic.

Brenden Coleman (Central Bucks East) had an assist for Air Force.

Brown 11, Harvard 9

Henry Blynn (Haverford School) collected two goals, three assists, two GBs and three CTs to spark Brown (4-1) to its fourth straight win.

Brendan Newman (Lawrenceville School) had one goal and Peter Schwartz (La Salle) dished two assists for Harvard.

Georgetown 16, Providence 8

Tyler Knarr (La Salle) won 17 of 25 face-offs, grabbed 13 groundballs and had three CTs as the Hoyas won the Big East contest.

Duke 12, Towson 4

Jordan Wolf (Lower Merion) had a goal and two assists and defensemen Billy Conners (Malvern Prep) and Henry Lobb (Malvern Prep) each scored once for the Blue Devils. Brian Dailey (Conestoga) had a CT and a GB and Jamie Ikeda (Conestoga) had a GB.

Hartford 11, Quinnipiac 10

Tate Klidonas (Emmaus) had a goal and six GBs and Andrew Cacchio (Holy Ghost Prep) had a goal and two GBs to lead Hartford.

Vermont 15, Wagner 6

Ahmad Zachary (Lower Merion) scored once for Vermont.

Syracuse 13, Johns Hopkins 8

Tucker Durkin (La Salle) had three GBs for the losing Blue Jays

Marist 11, Detroit 8

Colin Joka (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored once for undefeated Marist (5-0).

Bellarmine 12, Mercer 5

Michael Bender (Emmaus) had four GBs and two CTs to lift Bellarmine.

Albany 17, Bryant 15

Shane Morrell (Episcopal Academy) scored three goals, Mason Poli (Downingtown East) collected two goals, two assists and a caused turnover and Kevin Rudd (Conestoga) scored once for winless Bryant.

Sunday

Robert Morris 16, Hobart 12

Dave Morton (Hill School) had five goals to lead Robert Morris.

Peter Zonino (Conestoga) had 12 saves for Hobart.

Holy Cross 7, Navy 5

T.J. Hanzsche (Malvern Prep) and Gabe Voumard (St. Augustine Prep) each scored once for Navy.

    Why does this article consistently omit the contributions of the Phillylayers from Drexel, Delaware, and navy. Either include everyone or don’t publish the article.
