“So far, we have had a huge turnout with fifty enthusiastic players at preseason practice. With such high numbers, our team is a range of experienced players and newcomers. On the one hand, we have eight returning starting varsity players. However, we also have about twenty players who are brand new to the sport of lacrosse. This year could be a challenge in regards to increasing talent at the varsity level while ensuring that the newcomers make strides as well. I am looking forward to facing this challenge as this group is very enthusiastic, respectful, and athletic. Many of our players participate in multiple sports which could prove valuable as the season begins. Overall, I am hoping to improve our record by overcoming close losses last year while accommodating the wide variety of players in order to improve each player’s skill set.”
