Crossefire Instructional Clinics for girls in Grades 4 through 12 in January and Februay at Episcopal Academy and CAT-Pickering in Phoenixville. All girls are eligible, regardless of experience. Seasoned high school athletes are challenged to meet the expectations of high level varsity and collegiate play. Sites and Schedules are as follows:

Game Lacrosse Preseason Youth Academy for girls in Grades 5 through 8, St. Joseph’s University’s Finnesey Field. The instructors are Philly’s Kelly Barnes (Radnor) and Michi Ellers (Strath Haven), both former standouts at Georgetown and USA Senior National Team members. Ellers coached at Georgetown for seven years and Barnes is currently an assistant coach at Saint Joseph’s University. Barnes, a Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year in 2008, was a IWLCA All-American last year. Topics covered: Defense; Checking – Offensive Strategy – Stickwork; Shooting – Dodging; Draws

Cost: $140 paid in full before Jan. 21st. ALL participants must be current US Lacrosse Members. Must bring their own goggles, mouth guard, stick, & water. Clinics
Ultimate Winter Clinic: Our clinics will focus on all aspects of the game. Each session will have at least 30 minutes of individual stick work break down and advanced individual skills. The remaining hour of each clinic will focus on one of the following: 1v1 attacking skills, 1v1 defense, body positioning, midfield defense, sliding & defensive communication, double teams offensively & defensively, man up/man down, shooting, offensive/defense transition, team offense, team defense. These specialized clinic programs will feature specific skill development and game instruction in order to prepare players for the upcoming lacrosse season.

Shipley’s Little Gators Boys and Girls Lacrosse Clinics. The Boys’ Clinic feature instructor Kevin Crowley, NCAA All-American, member of Team Canada, MLL and NLL Rookie of the Year for the Philadelphia Wings. Coach Crowley is the offensive co-ordintor at The Shipley School. The clinics are for boys’ and girls in grades Pre-K through 3 (approx age 4-8). All equipment will be provided by Shipley. Beginners are welcome!

Spring tournament
Cardinal Invitational St. Patrick’s Day Classic, March 16, elite High School, 7&8 & and 5/6 grade girls lacrosse teams, at Upper Dublin SPARK All Weather Turf Fields. Cost: $250 /team. Four (4) games (25 minute running halves). This preseason event will take place on two all weather turf fields. This tournament is geared toward Township recreation level teams looking to get a start on their season. The event will serve as a great opportunity for girls to play equally matched teams in the Tri-State area.

Summer Tournaments
The Philly LXF, July 21, 2012, at two sites in Philadelphia, U9-U15 teams from Philadelphia city and suburban and the surrounding region. Everyone is guaranteed three games and organizations sending more than one team will be eligible for the Team Cup Challenge. Price is $750 for early-bird registration. Quaker City Lacrosse presents tht 4th Annual Harriton Summer Lacrosse Skills Camp, June 18 thru June 21, 9:00 AM to 12:00PM, Harriton High School. Girls entering Grades 1-9. Harriton High School Girls Lacrosse Coaches George Dick, Alex Shapiro and Laura King. Instructional Clinic where the emphasis is on maximizing the amount of touches each participant has with the ball. We will stress the development of the basic fundamentals: Cradling, Catching/throwing, Groundballs, Dodging, Shooting. Black Bear Lacrosse camps, Black Bear’s dedicated staff of seasoned coaches take a personal interest in advancing the fastest game on two feet. In addition to its fundamentals program, which is designed to introduce the game to beginning and intermediate players, Black Bear camps provide advanced technique and training for experienced players. Black Bear campers enjoy daily scrimmages, position specific instruction, contests, and daily personal interaction with top teaching coaches. Players of all abilities and experience are welcome and will greatly benefit from our structured, time-tested program. Campers are grouped according to age and ability. We teach players the proper technique and fundamentals and develop their skills and lacrosse IQ.
