Radnor junior midfield Taylor Quinn has committed to the admissions process at Columbia University.
Taylor Quinn log:
High school: Radnor High School
Graduation year: 2013
Position: Midfield
College choice: Columbia University
Club affiliation: STEPS Elite Philly
Major lacrosse honors: 2011 Philadelphia Under Armour team, 2011 Radnor High School Varsity Lacrosse Team Member
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose Columbia? “I really liked the academics at Columbia. I am not sure what I would like to pursue in college but I believe that Columbia can mentor me throughout the process. I really liked how even though Columbia is in a city filled with opportunities, it still has a campus feeling, and it felt like a great fit.
“I enjoyed spending time with the team, and I really like the lacrosse program. The assistant coach, Courtney Lubbe (Council Rock North), helped me make my final decision and was really supportive throughout the process.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We did not lose many players, so I think we will be strong this year. Our team was very young last year, myself included, and we all gained valuable experience that will prepare us for this season. That being said, we also have great upperclassmen, and we will be a tough opponent this year.”
Additional comments: “I would first like to thank my parents and my two sisters for all their support throughout the process. I would especially like to thank my twin sister Shannon, because she helped me through the recruiting process and make my decision. I would also like to thank my club and school coach Brooke Fritz. Without her I would not have gotten this amazing opportunity.”
Note – All prospective Ivy League student-athletes must continue through the admissions process
