Philly Boys’ Events
The National Invitational 175 Summer Showcase, invitation-only high school showcase, to be held in Upstate New York on July 29th – 31st, 2013.
Elite players in the classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016, that are interested in attending the showcase can click here to access more information on the National Invitational 175 Showcase website or click here to apply through a quick form.
There is no charge to apply. After you submit your application, you will need to forward the link to a coach that knows you and your ability so that he can provide a recommendation on your behalf.
Upon receiving your application and your coach’s recommendation, your application will be complete and you will be placed into a pool of candidates that will be considered for invitations.
The applications take only a few minutes to complete. The cut-off to submit your application will be October 15th, 2012. Anyone not applied by then will be placed onto a wait list. On October 20th, the National Invitational 175 summer showcase will send out its invitations to those players deemed most deserving and skilled enough to attend this showcase. Players invited will need to then register and pay on or before October 27th to secure their spot. The showcase is expected to attract coaches from well over 50 college programs in Division I and Division III based on last year’s event and interest in this Fall’s National Invitational Fall Select in November.

King of the Mountain Team Tournament, by Lehigh Lacrosse, Sunday, November 11, at Lehigh University, Goodman Athletic Campus (151 Goodman DriveBethlehem, PA 18015), and 12+ Fields. Time: 8:30AM – 4:30PM. Who: 7/8th (16 teams), Junior Varsity (16 teams) and Varsity (32 teams). Lake-Lehman Fall Classic 7-on-7 lacrosse tournament for boys and girls. This 2nd Annual 7-on-7 tournament will be held on Sunday, November 4th at Lake-Lehman High School. Cost is just $240 per team. Proceeds will support the LLHS teams which are 100% self-funded. Lake-Lehman HS is located about one hour north of Allentown – just outside of Wilkes-Barre. Travel will be considered when assigning start times. There will be eight divisions are as follows:
Boys: U11, U13, U15, High School; Girls: Elementary, Jr. High, High School A, High School B. This tournament sold out last year. Reserve your team spot today.

The 4th Annual Care for the Cure Lacrosse Tournament, November 10 at Henderson High. The tourney features boys’ and girls’ high school brackets. The tourney raises money for cancer organizations on behalf of Henderson grad and Duquesne student-athlete Caroline ‘Care’ Cranston who lost her life in a battle with AML Leukemia on May 8th of 2010.

Strath Haven Fall Lax Fest, Sunday, November 11 at the Strath Haven High School & Middle School, in Wallingford. Rain date is Saturday, November 17. The format will be the same as in years past:
-Festival format, no playoffs or championships; 3 games guaranteed; Games are 2, 25 minute running halves; Start at 9AM and finish at 4PM; -18 player minimum roster (bring own pinnies); 3 levels of play: varsity A; varsity B; and freshman/JV; PIAA Referees; Trainer on site; Team registration fee: paid in full before October 19, $550; after October 19, $600

Main Line Masters Fall Lacrosse Tournament, November 17th, come enjoy a day of Masters LACROSSE on The Shipley School’s (Bryn Mawr, PA) brand-new beautiful 2 Field Turf fields! Entry is $650/team. Tournament will start at 10 am and run until 4 pm with 3 games guaranteed per team (a 4th if you make the Championship game). Following the lacrosse action there will be a 2-hour Social event (Buffet and refreshments) at Kelly’s Taproom in Bryn Mawr, waking distance from the fields, from 5-7 pm. The Academy is for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players, no matter their age. It is designed to provide on field instruction and direction. The Fall Academy is a great way for off season lacrosse athletes to supplement their lacrosse IQ while receiving top flight instruction, and plenty of repetitions with positive feedback and reinforcement.
Ultimate Middie Combines at Ampro Fieldhouse for boys in grades 5 to 12, Oct 20 and Nov. 17. This is being taught by Major League Lacrosse All-Pro and Team USA member Greg Gurenlian (Springfield-Delco, Penn State). The clinics will focus on all aspects of the game from offense to defense and even at the face-off X. Brodie Merrill’s Defensive Academy, October 27-28, on the turf fields of Shipley’s mainline campus for boys ages 8-18. The event is hosted by the Shipley School; program is designed to focus on the skills required by every defenseman to excel in their position and will focus on developing lacrosse “IQ”, strengthening stick and footwork skills and more. This event will begin on Friday night from 7-9pm (this section is sold out); Saturday 9am-3pm; concluding on Sunday from 9am-1pm, followed by an NCAA recruiting workshop from 1-3pm for players ages 13 and up. A 1-day only option is also available. Each participant will receive a Wings pinnie and lanyard; there will be prizes given away courtesy of Reebok. The event is sponsored by the Philadelphia Wings and Reebok Lacrosse. This specialized skill development camp is for defensemen who want to take their game to another level.
Camp Objectives include: Body Position, Stick Skills, Stick Checks, Footwork, Game IQ, presence, leadership, NCAA recruiting process seminar, Reebok gear giveaways, Bonus: Athlete’s nutrition workshop. The event is being run in conjunction with the Mark Duncan Goalie Stick Work/Shooting Clinic. Both clinics will combine on Sunday for 2 hours.

Mark Duncan’s Goalie Stick Work/Shooting Clinic for boys aged 8 to 18 on Oct. 28 from 9 am-1 pm at the Shipley School. The event is sponsored by the Philadelphia Wings and Reebok Lacrosse. Elite Training Middle School/High School Specific Strength, Conditioning and S.A.Q. Training Camp for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players at its Bryn Mawr site at 4 N. warner Ave. from Dec. 10-Jan. 27. The Camps will address the unique needs of lacrosse players, such as footwork, hand speed, explosive power, muscular strength, anaerobic endurance, cardiovascular conditioning, core training, speed/agility and injury prevention. The camps meet every Thursday from 4-5pm (Middle School Athlete) 5-6pm (High School Athlete) and Saturday from 2-3pm (Both). Cost: $205 Per Athlete
