Tuesday’s late college roundup: Swarthmore, Cabrini, Neumann women win; Garnet, Neumann men triumph

Annalise Penikis (Strtah Haven) scored four goals and added five assists to lead Swarthmore women’s lacrosse team to a 16-7 victory over Eastern Tuesday.

Corinne Sommi added five goals and an assist for Swarthmore (2-1), which also got a pair of goals from both Marie Mutryn (100 career goals) and Annelise Mowry.

Cabrini 15, Notre Dame (Md.) 9

Sarah Means scored four goals and had an assist, while Lacie Doubet (Ridley) Kellie Manoppello (Upper Merion), Ali May and Christina Pasquariello (Harriton) each netted a pair of goals to lead Cabrini.

Neumann 20, Hood 14

Alexandra Bohen (Upper Merion) had six goals and three assists and freshman Amanda Fedak tallied a hat trick as the Knights (4-1) topped Hood.

Suzanne Sheehan (Penncrest) scored twice for Neumann.

Immaculata 16, Rosemont 1

Danielle Lopez led the Mighty Macs with four goals and one assist while Emily Hallett recorded two goals and three assists. Katie Cook finished with three goals and one assist, Chelsey Murta (St. Basil) had two goals and two assists, and Alyssa Petito (West Deptford) registered one goal and three assists. Overall, Immaculata had 11 players record a point in the game.

Swarthmore 16, St. Joseph’s (Maine) 5

Wes Marcik, Jonathan Molloy and Dan Kowalyshyn each had a hat trick to lead the Garnet to victory.

Neumann 22, Rosemont 8

Mike Pantalone tallied five times and Ryan O’Kane (Ridley) added a hat to lead the Knights to the win.

Justin Regan and Dean Grisoff each scored three goals for Rosemont.
