MLK Tournament: Duke’s LC starts 3-0 after first day

The Duke’s Lacrosse Club finished 3-0 in the first day of action today at the Tri-State National Indoor Championship (MLK Tournament) at Peddie School.

Dukes toppled Tri-State Green, 6-5, in overtime in the first game and then edged the defending champion Hermits, 9-8 in the second game. Dukes LC then handled Tri-State Blue, 9-5.

Standouts for the Dukes were junior goalie Matt Barrett (Malvern Prep), freshmen midfielders Drew Supinski and Grant Ament, sophomore attackman Tanner Peck and senior attackmen Parker Self and Ryan Ambler.

The Hermits (St. Augustine Prep) also defeated Rebel Elite, 8-6 and tied Tri-State.
