PASLA announces 2012 awards: WC East’s Lobb is top Student-Athlete, Baldwin’s Thaler is Rookie of the Year

The Pennsylvania Area Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association has announced its awards for 2012.

West Chester East senior midfielder Stephanie Lobb was named the Student-Athlete of the Year. Lobb will play lacrosse at North Carolina.

“It’s an awesome honor,” said Lobb, who sports a 4.0 GPA and is highly involved in volunteer work. “I try to work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. My parents have always told me academics comes first. It’s a privilege to play sports so I have always worked as hard in the class.”

Baldwin School’s Ali Thaler was named the Rookie of the Year.

Radnor received the Community Service Award for its work with the Katie Samson Festival and and the Brian H. Early Foundation, and Lower Moreland of the Bicentennial Athletic League was named the Most Improved Team.
