Ocean City Lacrosse Classic: Team Harley wins sixth straight title; Mesa Fresh falls in quarterfinals

After its sixth straight championship and 36th consecutive win at the Ocean City (Md.) Lacrosse Classic, Team Harley has cemented its title as a dynasty in Grandmasters Men’s Lacrosse.

Team Harley – comprised of many Philly players – scored the game’s final three goals and edged Interlocking Greyhounds (Md.), 5-4, today to win that sixth consecutive crown

Meanwhile, Philly’s Mesa Fresh (4-1) – down several players due to injuries – Fell to Big Fellas (Md.), 8-4, in the quarterfinals of the Men’s Elite Division. Chris Aitken (Haverford School/Villanova), Steve Aitken (Haverford School/Penn State), goalie Austin Kaut (Springfield-Delco/Penn State) and Pat Frazier (Loyola) scored for Mesa Fresh and goalie Dan Wigrizer (Haverford School/Duke) played well in his half of action in the nets.

In Women’s Elite Division, Philly’s Lax (3-2) fell to Garden Girls, 15-11, in the quarterfinals.
