The Moorestown Lacrosse Club today congratulated six Moorestown High School senior boys who have committed to play NCAA college lacrosse.
The Moorestown boys’ lacrosse team has also been one of the state’s most successful programs. Playing in the competitive Skyland Conference, the team won state Group Championships in 2008 and 2011.
In 2012, Moorestown received its first ever Number 1 seeding in the state playoffs.
This year’s Boys NCAA recruits (listed alphabetically) and their college choices are:
Stephen Burke – Washington College
Wade Dickey – Widener University
Drew Hillman – Bowdoin College
Patrick Lynam – Widener University
Matt Olbrich – University of Delaware
Dan Willis – Villanova University
Kelly Dalmass, President of the Moorestown Lacrosse Club, said of the announcement:
“We are extremely proud of these fourteen Moorestown student-athletes (including the eight Moorestown girls’ lacrosse players that signed or committed). Most, if not all of them, began playing for our club at a young age and each of them has shown steadfast dedication to their sport, their school, and their community.
“Each year tens of thousands of high school students play lacrosse and only a small percentage of them have the skill, dedication, discipline, and academic ability to go on to play at the NCAA varsity level. We are proud of their academic and athletic accomplishments and equally proud of them as young men and women.
“They will no doubt continue to make us proud as they go on to play at the next level. I know I speak for everyone associated with the Moorestown Lacrosse Club – especially the many dedicated volunteers, coaches, parents and club officers – when I offer each of them a heartfelt congratulations on their successful high school careers and wish them all the very best in the future.”
