Chaminade (N.Y.) sophomore midfielder Sean Cerrone has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Club affiliation: Long Island Express
Other schools considered: Harvard, Maryland, Notre Dame and Yale.
Major lacrosse honors: Jake Reed’s Blue Chip, All-Star at Top 205, Tri-State, U-15 Nationals in Florida.
Academic honors: Honor roll
What will you major in/study? Undecided; considering business.
Why did you choose school? “I chose Villanova because IO\ fell in love with the school and the coaches. It is a great academic school which was a major factor. I really love how they run a freelance offense which allows players to create opportunities.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We have a strong program like always and are hoping to bring home the championship this season.”
