Men’s lacrosse: Chester’s PPL Park and Drexel University will host two men’s Division I quarterfinal games

Drexel University will be hosting the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals on May 20 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. Festivities begin on Saturday as all four participants will have an open practice followed by autograph sessions for fans.

On Saturday May 19, each team will practice for an hour and 20 minutes beginning at 10 a.m. with the top seed, followed by the second, the third and the fourth. After each practice the teams will participate in an autograph session open to fans in attendance. Tickets for the NCAA Quarterfinals will be needed to attend the autograph session.

Sunday, May 20, is game day at PPL. The parking lots will open at 7 a.m. The Toyota Plaza’s doors open at 9:30 and suite and club ticket holders can enter PPL at 10:30 a.m. General seating gates for the two games opens at 11 a.m. The first game begins at noon with the top seed facing the fourth seed. At 2:30, the second game of the doubleheader will feature the No. 2 seed playing the No. 3 seed. The winners of each game advance to the NCAA Semifinals in Foxboro, Mass., on Memorial Day weekend

The 2012 tournament teams were selected on Sunday night. PPL Park will be hosting two games on May 20 one which will feature the Duke (#3 seed)-Syracuse winner against either UMass (#6) or Colgate. The other game will feature the winner of #4 Notre Dame-Yale facing the Virginia (#5) -Princeton winner.

The winners of the other four first round games will advance to Navy. Those games are #1-seed Loyola vs. Canisius, #2 seed Johns Hopkins vs. Stony Brook, #7-seed Lehigh vs. Maryland and #8 North Carolina vs. Denver. For the entire bracket, please click here.

Tickets for the NCAA Quarterfinals are still available. Reserved midfield seats (sections 126-128) are available for $30, but there are a limited supply remaining.
