Academic honors: High honors
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose the school? “I loved the city of Boston when I went up there and that was a major influence. I also loved the coaching staff, led by (head coach Chris) Wojcik. I loved the atmosphere of the program and coach’s strategy and techniques. I liked the kids on the team, and the major thing is the academics are on the top of the list. Everything just fell into place.”
Other schools considered: Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame and Duke; also Princeton, Penn, Maryland and Virginia
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We are losing some important players; all our seniors contributed a lot. We are returning 19 seniors, but there are some holes to fill and we can’t go out there and just expect to win because we have so many coming back. We have to work even harder; we can’t take anything for granted. But we do have the highest expectations possible.”
Other comments: “I want to thank the coaches at La Salle, coach (Bill Leahy), coach (Tony) Resch, coach (Rob) Forster, coach (Mike) Koons, and coach (brian) Harrington, and Dukes coaches Ebe Helm and Jason Christmas and the rest of the Dukes coaching staff. I also want to thank my family, especially my parents for giving me all the rides to tournaments and always being there.”
All student-athletes committing to Ivy League schools must continue through the admissions process
