Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Lehigh gets commitment from Brewster Academy (N.H.) junior defenseman McKenzie

Brewster Academy (N.H.) junior defenseman Nathan McKenzie has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.

Position: Close Defense

College Choice: Lehigh University

Club Affiliation: Edge lacrosse, and NESLL

Major lacrosse honors:
Gold Medalist, Canadian National Field Lacrosse Championships, Saskatchewan, September 2010;
2011 Philly Showcase;
Selected for the 2014 All-Star team;
Attended Maverik Showtime this summer, as well as Brine Shootout, and King of the Hill, All-Canada games

Academic Honors: Summa Cum Laude award for fall and winter trimesters. National Honors Society applicant.

What will you major in/study? Business and Science

Why did you choose Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because if its strong academics, great school spirit, excellent coaching staff and lacrosse program and its rural setting.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “My HS team’s outlook for next season is to come together as a team and play the best to our ability in each and every game.”
