Kingsway Regional (N.J.) senior attackman Tim Kemner has made a verbal commitment t play Division I lacrosse at Monmouth University.

Tim Kemner log:

Tim Kemner

High school: Kingsway Regional

Graduation year: 2013

Position: Attack

College choice: Monmouth University

Club affiliations:
Rebel Elite, South Jersey Shamrocks

Major lacrosse honors: 1st Team All Conference 2012, 2nd Team All Conference 2011, 2012 Team MVP, 2010 Philly Showcase Gait All Star

What will you major in/study: Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy

Why did you choose school: “As soon as I stepped on campus, I knew it was a place I could see myself attending for the next four years. The campus is beautiful, and the small class sizes will help me academically. Both Coach (Brian) Fisher (Ridley grad) and Coach (Andrew) Geison were very optimistic about the program and they made me feel extremely comfortable. Being only an hour and a half away from home was also a big factor; this way my family can come to my games.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We are looking to keep the momentum going that we have had the past few years. We have a strong group of seniors that have been playing together since 4th grade. We also have some talented underclassmen that will play a big part on the team. We are definitely planning to keep the County Cup for the second year in a row and are shooting for the Conference title.”

Other comments: “First and foremost, I would like to thank my family; without them I wouldn’t be the person or player I am today. I would like to thank Coach (Harry) Sankey from Rebel Elite and Coach (Bill) Keane from the Shamrocks for all the help both on and off the field. I would like to thank my high school Coach, (Sean) Dunn for helping me throughout the process. I would also like to thank Coach Mackrides for the assistance and guidance given. Lastly, I would like to thank my youth Coach Steve Wilkinson for teaching me everything I know about lacrosse and being a great mentor of the game.”
