Why did you choose Johns Hopkins? “Along with Johns Hopkins’ great academic reputation, I really liked that Coach (Dave) Pietramala and Coach (Bobby) Benson talked about the longstanding traditions and strength of their lacrosse program and that there is a strong sense of community among Hopkins students.
“I have rooted for their teams and looked up to the school for years, and actually the first collegiate game I ever attended was when I was 8, and Hopkins was in the 2005 NCAA semi-finals against Virginia, who they beat. I also like that the campus is in Baltimore.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “As always we’ll be looking to compete at the highest level, and continually improve. Coach (John) Nostrant will expect us to work hard all season, and play our best so we can have a productive season.”
Other schools considered: Michigan, Ohio State, Georgetown, Princeton
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank Mr. Nostrant, Mr. (Mark) Petrone, Mr. (Travis) Loving and the whole coaching and training staff at Haverford for the instruction and guidance they have provided me so far in my lacrosse career. I am very much looking forward to playing for them for the next three years and making many contributions to the success of the Haverford lacrosse program.
“Also I’d like to thank Mr. (Peter) Rohr, Mr. (Mark) Aitken, and Mr. (Brad) Ament, my Mesa Fresh 2015 coaches. They have been a great support throughout my summer play and given me great encouragement and advice about how to build on my skills and my game.
“I’d also like to thank my family, my Mom for first putting me on the lacrosse field and my Dad and Mom for taking me to many, many youth games and encouraging me to put my best effort into whatever I do.
“Lastly, I’d like to thank the coaching staff at Johns Hopkins for taking an early interest in me. I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of such a great lacrosse program.”
