Longstreth girls’ recruit: Harriton junior goalie Avery commits to Syracuse

Harriton (PA) junior goalie Melina Avery has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Syracuse University.

Club affiliation: Ultimate Goal Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors: Under Armour Underclass All American 2012, Philly Showcase All Star 2010 & 2011, PAGLA U-15 team

What will you major in/study: Psychology/Arabic

Why did you choose school: “Syracuse has an incredible athletic and academic tradition with an excellent women’s lacrosse team and amazing coaches.”

Outlook for your high school team: “The Central League is always competitive, but Harriton should have a great season. I am looking forward to it.”
