What will you major in/study? Engineering

Why did you choose Lafayette? “I chose Lafayette because of the high academic reputation, the campus and the lacrosse team. When I began looking at colleges my top priorities were academics and the size. I did not want to be “just another face in the crowd” throughout the next four years. Due to the small campus size, Lafayette will give me the opportunity to make the best out of the next four years of my life, in the classroom, around campus and on the lacrosse field.

“Another important aspect of my college decision was the team chemistry and the coaching staff. On my first visit to Lafayette I knew that I had found a team that shared a greater friendship than any other. The girls supported one another though drills, running tests and even off the field. They created a family and from that point on I wanted to be a part of it. The coaching staff lead by Alison Fisher drove me to choose Lafayette as well. During practices, Ali was very supportive of her players, while at the same time pushing them to become better lacrosse players. Ali is very enthusiastic as a coach and a person and her optimism showed me that Lafayette was the perfect fit for me academically and lacrosse wise.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Although we have many seniors our team is still rather young. We have many players who have never played lacrosse before or who have only been playing for a few years. On that note, we are looking to come back with the same strength that we ended our season with last year. I have played along side of many of these girls since I began playing lacrosse, so I am looking to end with a positive senior season, and hoping that we continue to improve and demonstrate our abilities in the upcoming season.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all of the support they have given me in sports and in school, as well as always encouraging me to pursue my dreams and do what makes me happy. My dad introduced me to lacrosse and dedicated many years to coaching me and driving me from tournament to tournament. I would like to thank my sister for coming to all of my tournaments and for being my greatest teammate on and off of the field. I would also like to thank my Phantastix coaches, Sue Frazier, Joann Yusko and Marge Garrity for always pushing me to become the best player I could possibly be and helping me through the recruiting process as well.”
