From Press Release
LacrossePlayground.com is proud to announce its signature event, LacrossePlayground.com Spring Classic Presented by Motive Pure™. The inaugural event will be held in the iconic Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on the Naval Academy’s campus. The remarkable venue will host six high boys’ and girls’ lacrosse games.
The LacrossePlayground.com Spring Classic is a two-day (March 23-24th) affair with some of the best talent in the country participating as 2011 National champion Haverford School heads the field that also includes Germantown Academy and the Upper Darby girls. The 12 teams represent the District of Columbia and four states, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio.
“Playing at Navy Marine Corp Stadium is such an honor for our kids, coaches and program,” says Gonzaga Head Coach Casey O’Neill. “To suit up and play in such a wonderful and historic venue will be a memory these young men hold forever. Most importantly I want our kids to think about the many men and women who serve and have served our country when they compete that day!”
Landon Assistant Coach J.R. Bordley adds, “Landon is thrilled to participate in the LacrossePlayground.com Spring Classic in Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium; certainly one of the finest venues in all of collegiate sports. We are honored to play on the hallowed grounds of the Naval Academy and we look forward to the Haverford challenge.”
