The high school season kicks off in earnest today with several much-ballyhooed game on tap under the lights.
The two games many boys’ lacrosse followers are looking at include Conestoga at Calvert Hall and Haverford School vs. Landon School.
Both games begin at 7 p.m.
CONESTOGA-CALVERT HALL GAME INFORMATION: Conestoga (Pa.) at Calvert Hall (Md.), 7 p.m., Paul Angelo Russo Stadium, Towson, Md. There is a $5 admission. Calvert Hall students and alumni with dues cards are admitted free. Game will be broadcast on delay at game.kudda.com
This is the first-ever matchup between the Baltimore MIAA powerhouse Calvert Hall (3-0) – ranked No. 1 in every national poll – and the two-time Pennsylvania state champion Pioneers (0-0), ranked among the Top 5 in every poll.
This also the first lacrosse game to be played under newly installed lights at Calvert Hall’s Russo Stadium.
HAVERFORD SCHOOL-LANDON SCHOOL GAME INFORMATION: at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, MD, in the opener of the LacrossePlayground.com Spring Classic. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by clicking here.
The Fords (3-0) are ranked among the Top 5 in every national poll and the Bears (1-2) are ranked in the Top 20 in every poll despite having lost two one-goal games.
