From Press Release

The first-year Reading Rockets of the Professional Lacrosse League will hold a free-agent, open tryout camp Sunday at the Lacrosse Evolution Training Center in King of Prussia.

This will be an opportunity for free agent players to showcase their skills and earn a spot in professional indoor lacrosse this coming season. A minimum of three players per session will be selected to participate in the Rockets’ inaugural training camp, beginning August 25th.

Camp spots are limited. Please see the registration sheet below and get your registration in today. The cost of the camp is $50.

Players will have a two-hour session with the Rockets’ coaching staff as well as a conditioning session.

The Rockets are coached by Tom Slate, former head coach of two Major League Lacrosse teams and former head coach of Downingtown East.

The Rockets will play at the Sovereign Center in downtown Reading, a 7,200 seat facility that is also home to the ECHL’s Reading Royals. Reading is also the home of Reading Phillies, the AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies and formerly home to the Reading Express Indoor Football team. With the rich sports history of the area, Reading is an ideal place to play, and the Rockets will have a “major league” feel.
