Eight Philly women named Jewish All-Americans

Eight Philly women have been named to the Jewish Sports Review college All-American teams.

In Division I, senior attack Samantha Stern (Vermont, Cherry Hill East) was a First-Team selection. She had 27 goals and 41 assists while earning All-America East Second Team honors.

Philly had plenty of Honorable Mention picks in Division I. They include junior attack Madison Hurwitz (Bucknell, Council Rock South, who had 25 goals and 16 assists; junior attack Jessica Rothstein (Lafayette, Harriton), who had 29 goals and 8 assists; and freshman attack Carli Sukonik (Lehigh, Harriton), who had 41 goals and earned All-Patriot League Second team honors.

The Division II-III team included junior midfielder Leah Sack (Kenyon, Lower Merion) on the first team. Sack had 19 goals and 30 assists and earned All-North Coast Atlantic Conference First Team honors.

Earning Honorable Mention in Division II-III were senior midfielder-defense Sarah Bradburd (Guilford, Friends’ Central), who had 10 goals, 16 groundballs and 18 caused turnovers); and sophomore midfielder Emily Brodsky (Hamilton, Friends’ Central), who had 19 goals and 12 caused turnovers.
