Brendan Glynn, a senior standout at Drexel who starred at St. Joseph’s Prep, remains in critical condition at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania after being struck by a car early Sunday morning, a hospital spokesperson said.
Glynn, 22, was hit by a car at the corner of 36th and Chestnut streets just before 2 a.m., police said.
Glynn, an attackman from Villanova, had 26 goals and 11 assists last year after notching 23 goals as a sophomore and four as a freshman.
He was an All-Catholic League and All-EPSLA pick as well as a Third-Team All-Phillylacrosse.com selection as a senior when he was named the Catholic League Southern Division MVP.
He finished his career as the leading scorer in St. Joseph’s Prep history.
Glynn was crossing the street against the light when he was hit by the car, according to a Penn Police sergeant as provided to the Daily Pennsylvanian.
