Boys’ youth lacrosse: Chester County wins inaugural PLA U13 All-Star Challenge

The first annual Philadelphia Lacrosse Association (PLA) Boys Youth Lacrosse All-Star Challenge concluded on Sunday with the U-13 Chester County All-Stars taking the title at Kelly Field in West Chester.

Chester County U13 won the inaugural PLA All-Star Challenge

The CCLA U-13 All Star team went undefeated in pool play wins over SEPYLA South and SEPYLA North. Chester County then defeated SEPYLA South, 8-3, in the Championship game.

The leading scorer for the champion CCLA team was Scott White (West Chester) who tallied 8 goals and handed out 3 assists on the day.

Also scoring for the CCLA team were Luke McCallion (Ashbee) – 4 goals, 4 assists; Denny Nealon (BYC) – 4 goals, 3 assists; Brendan Harman (Avon Grove) – 3 goals; Grant Peden (Lionville) – 1 goal, 4 assists; Jordan Donaghy (West Chester) – 2 goals, 1 assist; Connor Mosebrook (Collegeville) – 1 goal, 2 assists; Jacob Buttermore (BYC) – 1 goal; Doug Jones (Avon Grove) – 1 goal; Sam Goforth (Lionville) – 1 goal; Defenseman Alex Muller (Avon Grove) – 1 goal.

Goalies Colin Miller (Lionville) and Parker Henderer (Conestoga) combined for 16 saves on the day as Goalies for Chester County giving up only 9 goals.
