The Central Bucks A.A. boy’s lacrosse team claimed the Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse (SEPYLA) B1 championship on Sunday by defeating Warrington, 12-0, in the title game at the SPARK Complex in Ambler.
CBAA went undefeated in the regular season and won the semifinal game on Saturday against Wilmington, 8-4. The team consisted of (see picture):
Front Row (left to right): David Closterman, Brant Billingsley, Joey Rockovich, Josh Graham, RJ Miller, Cody Ventresca, Jeremy Powers
Middle Row: John Galow, Max Paz, Andrew Santacecilia, Mark McCool, Jacob Manion, Ryan Moylan, Daniel Jordon, Max Pinado, Colin Stein, Ty Tracy, Connor O’Neil, Hunter Jaronski
Back Row: Coaches, Anthony Ventresca, Brant Billingsley, David Closterman, John Graham, Head Coach Steve Pinado, Stan Rockovich
“This was truly a team win,” said coach Pinado. “Every single player made a significant contribution this weekend; for example, in the Championship game at least 12 different boys had either a goal or an assist to earn those 12 goals. Obviously, the defense played incredibly well to achieve a shutout, with a particularly strong performance by our goalie – R.J. Miller.
“The Wilmington team in the semifinal game was undefeated, and the Warrington team had only one loss. Both of those teams were well-coached and came out to win. If it had not been for the incredible performance of our boys, we could not have achieved this.
“Congratulations should go out to all of teams who made it to the championship weekend.”
