Boys’ lacrosse: Penn Charter loses another 9-8 heartbreaker to an MIAA team, bowing to Boys’ Latin, in OT

Michael Lynch scored the game-winner 1:12 into overtime today to lift visiting Boys’ Latin (Md.) to a thrilling 9-8 victory over Penn Charter today in boys’ lacrosse.

The host Quakers are 0-2, with both losses being 9-8 defeats to MIAA powers. PC also dropped a 9-8 decision to Loyola Blakefield on Friday in Towson.

The Quakers rallied from an 8-4 third-period deficit to pull even and send it into overtime on Drew Murray’s goal with less than four minutes to play in regulation.

Lynch scored three goals to lead Boys’ Latin (2-0) while Tal Bruno scored twice and Shack Stanwick had a goal and two assists.

Shane Carr led Penn Charter with three goals and Jackson Tamasitis was strong in the cage for the Quakers with 15 saves. Charles Giunta (LSM) went 11-of-19 from the face-off X.
