Boys’ lacrosse: Episcopal Academy topples Penn Charter; willl host Haverford School Friday night for first place

Tyler Odell scored four goals and Jon Garino won 12 of 18 face-offs as host Episcopal Academy toppled Penn Charter, 9-5, today to set up a first-place showdown in Inter-Ac League boys’ lacrosse.

The win puts EA at 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the Inter-Ac. The Churchmen host Haverford School (also 11-1, 3-0) Friday at 7 p.m.

Trupert Ortlieb and Curtis Zappala each had a goal and an assist for EA, which scored four of the last five goals. Henry Coote (six saves) and Tyler Morell (three saves) handled the goaltending chores.

Tyler Earley led the Quakers (6-7, 1-4) with two goals.
