Slots are filling up fast as registration has begun for what promises to be the premier girls’ lacrosse recruiting event and competition for the summer of 2013. The inaugural Brine Club Lacrosse Championship, co-sponsored by Mid-Atlantic Lax and announced only than a month ago, has created a significant buzz in girls’ club lacrosse circles.

The event, the weekend of July 5-7, 2013, will host premiere clubs (2014-2021) from the hotbeds of the east and the entire country in Howard County, Maryland, centrally located between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The competition will highlight “Maryland Girls’ Lacrosse Week” with endorsements from state and local jurisdictions as well as local businesses.

Hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions and amusements will extend their services and products at preferred rates. The tournament provides a great opportunity to compete at the highest levels while at the same time offering an opportunity for visitors to see well-known attractions in the Capitol and in Baltimore. For those interested, a resident camp for elite players will be held July 8 through July 10 at a local school or college with training provided by notable teachers, coaches and former players.

The Brine Club Lacrosse Championship games will be played on 12 synthetic turf, full-size fields with operating scoreboards and lights. Additional quality grass fields will be available. There will be an Elite Division (July 6 and 7) and an Open Division (July 5 and 6) within graduation years to ensure competitive parity. Champions will receive tournament prizes supplied by Brine. Games will run 50 minutes. Four games are guaranteed. Separate seating will be provided for college coaches who will be excited to take advantage of this unique venue.

Events details and registration are available on the tournament website, www.brineclubchampionships.com. Don’t delay and miss out. It’s a great way for girls, their clubs and their families to have a memorable holiday weekend.
