Philly women celebrate Northwestern’s seventh NCAA championship in ring celebration

Three Philly women – sophomores Blake McHugh (Episcopal Academy) and Bridget Bianco (Moorestown, NJ) and junior Jessica Roy (Pennridge) – celebrated Northwestern’s seventh NCAA Division I championship at a special ring celebration during NU’s Big Ten football game Saturday vs.Iowa.

Northwestern went 21-2 last year and defeated Syracuse, 8-6, for the title at Stony Brook, N.Y. The Wildcats have won seven of the past eight national titles.

McHugh played in eight games as a freshman attack, scoring once. Bianco played in seven games.
