Wissahickon junior attack Zoe Gomez has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hofstra University.

What will you major in/study: Law
Why did you choose school: “I loved the atmosphere at Hofstra and the sports facilities are amazing. It’s exciting to be in Coach (Shannon) Smith’s first recruiting class. I really liked her vision for where the team will be in the next few years and the team dynamics she is creating.”
Outlook for your high school team: “I think we are definitely going to build on last year’s success. We have strong senior leadership with Laura Frankenfield (Boston College) and a great sophomore goalie, Julie Silverman. I think we’ll compete for the league and hope to get to playoffs.”
Other comments: “I want to thank my mom and dad for always encouraging me as well as my brothers, Beau and Luke, who support me and keep me grounded. I would like to thank Michele DeJuliis and Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club. I especially would like to thank Coach Jen Duckenfield, who has taught me everything I know about lacrosse, who has been there through my ups and downs, and has always understood how to get the best of of me on and off the field.
