Jake McMillan

2013

Rebel Elite

Major lacrosse honors:
2nd Team All-Ches-Mont, Top 205 All Star

What will you major in/study? Unsure but something Science related

Why did you choose the school? “When I visited Ursinus the team was very welcoming and I loved how uptempo the practices were. I knew a couple of players that had played for Rebel Elite that currently play for Ursinus and they all said great things about the program. The coaching staff was amazing and Coach (Harry) Sankey had a ton of great things to say about Coach (Jamie) Steele. It’s only about an hour from my house so my parents can come to all of my games and the size of the school isn’t very big, which will be good for me in the classroom.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Although we lost 17 seniors and our head coach, Tom Hannum, we have had a lot of people step up that are working very hard. We should have a very successful season if we all work to our full potentials. Coach (Tom) Slate and Coach (Bob) Peppelman are doing a great job keeping us working hard in the offseason and our ultimate goal is to go further than last year in the state playoffs.”

Other Comments: “I’d like to thank my parents and my high school coaches, Coach Hannum, Coach Peppelman, Coach Holenstein, and Coach Twohig. Also, my Rebel Elite Coaches, Coach Harry Sankey, Coach Ryan Sankey, and Coach Santos, and my middle school coach Coach Beneke. Finally, I want to thanks my teammates that helped me grow throughout high school, Max Carroll, Mike Paoline, and the rest of the team.”

Other Schools Considered: Widener, Kenyon, High Point
