Arcadia debuts new Division III program at 6th Annual Nick Colleluori Classic

Arcadia University kicked off action this morning in the second day (Division II, III) of play at the 6th Annual Nick Colleluori Classic at Ridley High.

The Knights were holding their own, trailing Richard Stockton by two goals heading into the final quarter of play on the grass field. In all, 13 D2 and D3 teams are playing today; overall, 24 teams will compete in the largest Fall Ball tourney of the year.

The Nick Colleluori Classic, run by the HEADstrong Fpundation in Nick Colleluoir’s image, raises money and awareness for blood cancer research.

At 10:30 a.m. Chestnut Hill College – whioch has visions of making a serious run in the Division II picture this year – faces Division II power Adelphi on the turf of Phil Marion Stadium. CHC is coached by former Episcopal Academy, Maryland, Barrage and Team USa great Brian Dougherty, who next week will be inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
