NXTsports holding tryouts and parent orientation for Trashcan Lacrosse Division teams for 3rd-8th Graders

NXTsports will hold tryouts for the NXT Trashcan Lacrosse Club 3rd-through-8th grade teams this weekend at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square. Tryouts will run from 1-4 pm on Saturday and 1-4 pm on Sunday.

NXTsports Trashcan Lacrosse Club is offering summer 2013 club teams at the following grade levels: 2017 (current 8th graders), 2018 (seventh graders), 2019 (sixth graders), 2020 (fifth graders), 2021 (fourth graders), 2022 (third graders).

Trashcan Lacrosse Club practice weekly at Episcopal Academy beginning in May and continuing through July 2013. Trashcan’s summer tournament schedule is currently being finalized, but each team will attend 3-to-4 weekend tournaments within easy driving distance of Philadelphia. NXTsports works hard to place the Trashcan teams in competition at well-run, well-organized events held at good venues that are fun for players and convenient for parents.

NXTsports will also be host some play-days for the younger teams to give them a chance to compete in game action against other clubs in a less-pressurized environment before playing in some bigger tournaments to end the summer season. The complete summer season tournament schedule will be published by the end of October.

As an added bonus, the Trashcan 8th Grade Team will have an opportunity to compete in a special game at PPL Park, home of the Philadelphia Union, as part of the Philly Charity Showdown on Friday, November 16.

NXT welcomes all interested players to attend Trashcan tryouts. There is a tryout fee of $25, payable via cash or check at tryouts, designed to cover tryout costs, and each player attending tryouts get a Trashcan Lacrosse Club reversible to keep.
