Longstreth girls’ recruit: Springfield-Montco senior midfielder Field commits to Navy

Springfield-Montco senior midfielder Elizabeth “Libby” Field has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

College Choice: United States Naval Academy

Club Affiliation: 2013 Ultimate PA Blue

Major lacrosse honors: Philly National Tournament Team in 2011 and 2012, BAL First Team All League 2011 and 2012 seasons, League MVP 2012 season, Captain for upcoming 2013 high school season

Academic honors: National Honor Society, German Honor Society, AP Scholar, Interact Service Club, Volunteer for Springfield Township Parks and Recreation

What will you major in/study?
Oceanography/Meteorology

Why did you choose Navy? “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country and be a member of an amazing lacrosse team.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “State champs!”
