Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Radnor rising senior midfielder-FO Shapiro commits to Hobart

Radnor rising senior midfielder-face-off specialist Jake Shapiro has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hobart College.

What will you major in/study: Economics

Why did you choose school: “On my visit to Hobart I felt an immediate connection with the campus and Head Coach (TW) Johnson. Also, Hobart offers the rich academic environment I was looking for. As the number one sport on campus, I could feel the tradition of Hobart Lacrosse and look forward to being a part of it.”

Outlook for your high school team:
“We have a very strong senior class and are returning many players who contributed to our success last year as State Semi-Finalists. We look forward to competing for the State Championship again this year.”

Other comments: “I first have to thank my parents and my brother Shane for always supporting me. I would also like to thank my club coaches at LB3. Lastly, I’d like to thank Radnor Head Coach John Begier and the rest of the staff. Coach Begier’s assistance on and off the field has been instrumental to my success.”
